RAMA 08 – Saturday 8 March, 2008

The annual festival at the Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus, RAMA08, is this year taking place on 8 March. For the very first time the festival takes place in the new Academy and the possibilities for new, powerful experiences in the beautiful settings will thus be great – as well as the many musical treats in the original Musikhus- Concert Hall Aarhus. The festival is a veritable music marathon which offers a wide range of music from chamber music, jazz, electronic music, rock and pop as well as stomp and orchestral music of the very best. This year, the youngsters will also have a chance to play while workshops for children are arranged with loads of instruments available to try out.

On Saturday 8 March, the Royal Academy of Music invites, yet again, everybody to see and experience the talents of the Academy. This year the festival takes place in the new Academy behind Musikhuset – Concert Hall Aarhus as well as on some of the best stages in Musikhuset.

In short: In almost 24 hours the Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus will demonstrate their rank on the Danish music scene as an artistic greenhouse and centre of creativity and innovation. At the same time students and teachers of the Academy will be seen in the rolls of composers, songwriters, soloists, band members and orchestral musicians.
